over coffee

1.20.14
i fluttered quietly,
watching her eyes catch hold of old thoughts
and new truths
listening to the way her love
poured from each sentence,
overflowing into morning light
and wedging into the space between us
too happy to move
feeling alive and enthralled
and letting each syllable fall into
my mind, each letter absorb into my heart
recording this moment like i do all
perfectly orchestrated memories
fluttering quietly
listening to the sound of her love

as of late

Caught on camera
these are all images I take on my way to and from work (I have an hour commute) I really love tiny photos. :))

“look I’m beached!”
this photo makes me laugh. even without the caption I would probably always remember him saying that, bc he laid there like that for about 30 mins- which is a very long time for a 9yr old boy to sit still.

Hello September
scrapping my stash….the Jill Sprott style! I love tiny photos and squares and layers. Seeing her creative process was really neat. it left limited room for journaling, so I snuck a note in one of those envelopes from Studio Calico's PL kit from September.

Right now.
the jagged “frame” is a leftover from a giant flower cut on the cameo….I couldn't not use it. all the bits and pieces were all leftover from cutting up paper for project life. I keep a jar filled with beautiful squares of paper and unused stamped images. the little wooden hearts were an exclusive from Citrus Twist “pocket life” kit from August. and the cool quote card was a free printable from Elise. (not that I know her on a first name basis, but we all know who I am talking about. AND. those quotes were AWESOME.

I couldn't resist the challenge of “bringing the party back” on a corregated background & here is my take. those neon daubers from Hero Arts are a dream come true. they apply sheer over anything you want, and resist color when you use it at the bottom. the banner @the bottom is a tiny replica of the ones I made/hung at my 31st birthday party.

GLITZ ROLLER STAMPS

I've loved these roller stamps since the very first sneaks I saw when people were IGing at CHA that first year, but I didn't purchase one. At $5 each, even the amazing patterns made me a little nervous, but in the last kit I got from Scarlet Lime, I got the funky Aztec one that sort of looks like geometric snake skin. With one single roll onto white paper, I was in love.

With my last TwoPeas order, I got two more, the feminine chevron & the AMAZING tiny triangles from the Raven collection that's perfect for anything, including Halloween. Wink.

They are made very well, the rubber is thick & the image part is raised high so that you don't get those stupid ink spots that look like you messed up even when you are doing a messy look. Get inspired: GLITZ BLOG

HIGH FIVE, Glitz Girls, for yet another fine product!!

it's okay to be #MESSY xoxoTIFF

Vintage photo album wedding gift

Talk about fun to make. I made this for a friend of mine who married the love of his life back in July. I made this, wrapped it, packed it, and flew to Cali for the wedding. The entire process was a blast.

I really enjoy using random inserts found here & there in my albums. In this one you will find 35MM film strip, business card, and old photo inserts. Have some & they won’t fit? Cut them down & use washi to keep it all together.

The whole album took about 7 nights to finish, and with each page I felt a lot of pride. *Pun intended. Wedding gifts don’t have to cost a lot of money to be worth screams & tears when they are opened. And this is by far my favorite to date.

New in the Tiff Reed: art stuff Etsy shop:

mixed media magnets.

I've been playing with these for weeks ..a dear friend of mine got a couple as a Christmas present last year and it took me a few months to put supplies on them bc I wanted to love them. After the first one, I was hooked. I really live how how they are coming out & hope you do, too.

Look for more of these in the next week or so, I have a table full waiting for text.
