It's Friday?

Strange how just one square on a Project Life page can make you hate the whole thing.

I am dealing with that, one week at a time. What I like about this is that there are no rules, just try to play with it twice a week. Usually when I'm done with a week the backs of all the papers inspires my colors for the following week. This makes it easy and fun to just go with the flow, and not get tied up in details. It's also making me use products that I LOVED when I bought them, but haven't gotten any love. (like those American Crafts journal sticker books I needed all of when they first came out.)

It's really just about playing with supplies in your free time and making pictures pretty, and i love that process. It's like winter when I can't.

Of all of the great products that came out this spring, the one I'm having the hardest time saying no to are the PAPERS! There are companies i have never heard of that I'm digging (Simple Stories) and companies that have never made patterned paper (that I know of) that I'm all about too. (thanks, Bazzille) which is great news for me because for a while there i said "no more patterned paper, Tiff. It's too expensive if you don't use it..) now i barely use a solid sheet...wish more companies would come out with patterned VELLUM and date stamp, high five to the "hello Lizzy" line for making both of those fun again. Things I'm missing that you don't see anymore: doilies//die cut paper, words...like single words or strip words in a sticker form, epoxy anything, and clear design stickers.

So the transfer from small to big Project Life has me excited. I got to rethink how I was going to do it with some experience, and I've ended up almost starting from scratch. Back in the fall I made a thick totally clear album for the Hambly dt submission, and I LOVED it. So I'm playing with this project like it's a clear solid album, if that makes any sense. By tonight I should be able to start with march, and I'll just post all of them in one swoop.

Project Friday. I have so, SO, many projects on "the list"...and I'm making time every other Friday to do them. This was project 1.

I got this cabinet at a garage sale last fall. Paid $20 for it, which is a lot to me while garage sailing..didn't bat an eye I loved it so much. But it def needed love before I could use it...

My permanent fav color is orange, so I went with that. Chose some of my very fav. Collected pieces of paper and VOILA! a piece I am very proud of.

Got the new mixed media
Scarlet Lime kit. I love all the new Dear Lizzy and all, but I bought a canvas purse with a project in mind and got this:

Love the AC clothes pins, and The new stamps she (Christy Tomlinson ) designed are awesome. Didn't think I would use this one until I stamped it out. Drool.

Until next time, TIFF

have I named one chaos yet?

So Project Life isn't possible in 8.5x11. Who knew? I did really, and today I'm heading up to Hobby Lobby for a 12x12 AC binder. It's happening. What else is happening? Well let me tell you.

I'm getting a few things ready for Etsy. Who knows what could happen? I'm almost ready to post stuff. Almost. Drinking way too much coffee. Staying up too late. I have a wedding to make a little later in march. (purples and oranges, hello, Pretty!) pictures from this chaotic time:

Adding something else to the list.

So i came across A one very talented Marcy Penner who is doing Becky Higgens' PROJECT LIFE. I am freak about saving papers and receipts and ephemera and the whole thing really got me wanting to join in. I'm DEF going to order the multiple pack 12x12 clear sheets, bc they are really great, but I have TONS of 8.5x11 photo and baseball sheets that I have been finding over the years, and i like the idea
Of
How they would all look on a shelf
Together...each year finding another cool binder and using it. So, I know that with Ez becoming 2 during this year that a weekly thing would be impossible, so I am aiming at an every two weeks thing. I have a basket where I save all the stuff, and I'm leaving the binder open and ready so I can add as I go. It looks like it's going to make the whole day to day bits and pieces scrapbooking process fun, easy, and somewhat effortless in a weekly manner. For all those cards and notes and weird stuff I save. Here's the start: EDIT: I started thinking that there was no way I would have enough stuff/pictures for a weekly thing. Yeah, right.

Finding time for nothing. (Sunday love.)

And that's a good thing. Today I plan on doing nothing. Me and the monkey are hitting up old river road for some sunshine and QT. Then it's off to a birthday party for a minute and then the mission starts for the ultimate park. (Ez is SO cute playing on the stairs and sliding down and swinging)
got a job offer making more money, less hours, less labor intense job. Off Friday & Saturdays.

Not in the flower business.

There’s a commute, and I could ride with someone 3 of 4 workdays. It’s a commitment, and although creative (graphic design), I’m not at all familiar with how to do it. Not playing with flowers everyday. But weekends off has a ring to it that could really change my life. And people need change, right?

Been playing with supplies, sort of:

Sweet, sweet Fall.

5 things I am grateful for right now:
• a quiet house, kinda clean, windows open
• ez's laugh. It's seriously addictive.
• having a job I love and Rock at...takes my mind off everything being SO BUSY.
• craft time when it happens and projects brewing. time away from making stuff always makes me get crazy w it when I finally can.
• this amazing weather, hello boots and corduroy!
